While we recognize that the best place for your furry paw family member(s) is at home, we strive to make Furry Paws Lodge your pet’s favorite place. Our furry paw guests are our number one priority.
Please help us make your pet’s stay the best possible.
We require up-to-date vaccination records and prefer to receive them prior to check-in. You or your veterinarian can email them to us as FurryPawsLodge@gmail.com.
We also suggest that you speak with your vet regarding other vaccines that might be appropriate (e.g. canine influenza).
If they have favorite treats, we are happy to give them per your direction (excluding rawhides).
An old shirt or blanket with your scent helps them feel more at home. We provide raised cots for all our guests and extra blankets if needed.
Favorite blankets, clothing, toys, etc.
Please have your furry paw family members restrained appropriately.
Pups, we ask that you go for a walk in our side yards prior to coming inside. You will get play time in the play yards upon arrival but we know you are excited and apt to be in a rush to go potty.
We also ask that only one pet family be in our small lobby or at the door at a time; this will minimize the stress for all of our four legged guests (two legged ones as well).
Plan on enough time for us to gather all of the necessary information during the check-in process. We will review feeding, medication, and socialization habits each and every time.
We encourage you to add a bath and nail trim during your pup’s stay at the lodge. Typically, this is done on the day of pick-up but if that is before noon, our staff will do it the day prior.
to make Furry Paws Lodge your pet’s favorite staycation destination:
We do whatever it takes to make them comfortable:
We highly recommend that you consider purchasing time in the Furry Paws Dog Park. This will give them time to run and play in our 2+ acre dog park with one-to-one time with a staff member.
We welcome you to contact us during your family member’s stay. While we cannot promise pictures we will be glad to share with you how they are doing. You may call us during business hours at 615-888-4729. If you wish to text us, please ask us for that number at check-in (we discourage reliance on FaceBook Messenger).
Our number one priority
All of our four legged guests are required to be current on age appropriate vaccinations. Please note that vaccinations are not a 100% safe guard and despite all of our efforts to eliminate the spread of disease (e.g. kennel cough), FPL is not liable for related issues
If your pet is not feeling well, we will contact the you, your emergency contact, pet’s veterinarian, or an emergency veterinarian clinic as we deem appropriate. Typically it is not serious and only a call to you is necessary. If it is more serious, every effort will be to first contact you but our priority is to do what we deem to be in the best interest of our furry paw guest. The owner is responsible for veterinary expenses.
If your pup is storm sensitive, please let us know at check-in so that we can review the best plan of action. We adjust the volume on our radio that plays throughout the building according to the weather to help.
If your pet arrives with fleas, we will give them a bath with flea treatment. This expense will be added to your bill.
If your pet arrives with worms, we may need to coordinate an early pick-up to limit the risk to other furry paw guests.
Although we do not have staff present 24/7, we do have security cameras that are monitored regularly. We also have dog loving neighbors within yards of the lodge.
If your pup shows aggression to other guests or our staff, we reserve the right to any of the following interventions:
We respectfully request that you not bring them to the lodge for any services while your pet is in heat. We want to minimize the stress that a dog or cat in heat has on the other furry paw guests. If your furry paws is fully functional, please have a back-up plan in case they come in heat while they are here.
If your pet is recovering from surgery, have stitches, staples, or wearing a cone, the best place for them to heal is with you. We are not able to monitor their recovery as it should be and cannot accept them for boarding
We will be charging a doggy daycare fee for all boarding dogs that are picked up after 12:00, noon, Monday through Saturday.
Please remember that we request that only one pet family be in our small lobby or at the front door at a time; this will minimize the stress for all of our four legged guests (two legged ones as well).
We still have work to do after your pet has been picked up.
We accept Cash, Check, and Major Debit/Credit cards. There is a surcharge for debit/credit card use beginning January 1, 2022
We understand that life happens and the best laid plans need to be adjusted. Whether you need to adjust the dates or cancel scheduled services please let us know as soon as possible. We do not charge a cancellation or change fee. We do reserve the right to charge a non-refundable deposit for future services if this occurs too often.
